"I wanted to show some of the things for which Michigan is known and what makes our state special. The water and the activities that bring people to Michigan were what I highlighted. I thought supporting the arts and buying local foods will give people a sense of community and appreciation for where they live. Also, with the Renaissance Center in the background and an electric vehicle charging in the foreground, the past and future are united to push Michigan forward in these economic times. The most important aspect of my poster was to show the people—families, couples, tourists—coming together to enjoy what Michigan has to offer."
