Vehicle City to Biking Town

UM-Flint is preparing to administer a free bike-sharing program this spring that would essentially allow students to hop on a bike from one “station” and drop it off at another.

The program is an unconventional, European born idea that has spread throughout several cities including Copenhagen, Montreal and Paris.

“We want to try to change the culture, to get more people up and moving. It has health benefits and is good for the earth too," said Theresa Landis, UM-Flint’s director of auxilary and recreational services.
