Description

Who We’re Looking For: The Michigan Municipal League (The League) is seeking someone who is as passionate as we are about Michigan’s communities with the ability to demonstrate that enthusiasm through various League projects. We are seeking a dynamic self-starter who has an interest in nuisance abatement and can effectively work with the stakeholders to foster positive change. Our ideal fellow thrives in a fast-paced environment, views change as a positive challenge, and can effectively and accurately juggle multiple tasks within deadlines.

As a Nuisance Abatement Fellow, here are just some of the things you would do:

~ Carry out academic and firsthand research in the realm of nuisance abatement.

~ Work both within an office setting and outside with people in the community to foster change.

~ Lead related projects, taking them from start through completion.

~ Work, collaborate, and coordinate with a diverse group of stakeholders in the community and public and private sector.

 

The Basics About You: Our ideal candidate will possess…

~ Bachelor’s degree in law, public policy, or related field is required. Post-graduate or graduate work, preferred.

~ Ability to manage projects with limited supervision.

~ Ability to work well in a team setting.

~ Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office and Google products.

~ Superior customer service and interpersonal skills.

~ Ability to conduct comprehensive research and compile resources.

~ Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

~ Willingness to do what it takes for a successful project.
