First Twitter Talk Event Reaches Over 75,000 People
Let's Save Michigan and the Michigan Municipal League held the first-ever "Twitter Talk" event on Tuesday, September 13 to help shape the future of transportation in Michigan. People and organizations from across the state participated via their computers and smartphones, using Twitter to be part of the innovative live conversation. The event reached over 75,000 people.
In the board room at the League's Capital office, panelists hit on topics such as the key role that safety and efficiency play in a successful transportation system and encouraging communities to work together to provide transit needs in an efficient manner. We can all agree that if we solve transportation issues we can use that to address other problems.
The conversation on Twitter continued well after the event had concluded and still continues to generate buzz as we speak.
